Overview of attending the BACH National Executive Committee
The NEC meetings are held on a Wednesday in January, June and October. National Officers, Regional Chairs and the Business Manager are expected to attend. Always book online, selecting your chosen option.
The meetings are generally informal but structured. Those attending do not require any extra skills beyond those required to lead a Construction and BSE team in a college.
The format is that BACH arranges the meeting and overnight accommodation for those wishing to stay over on the Tuesday night before the meeting. We usually start at 09.30 and finish at 15.30. Those travelling by train are asked to book tickets for after 16.00. BACH arranges, and pays for, a simple evening networking dinner for those arriving on time.
We send out the agenda and documents circa two weeks before the event and do not provide printed copies.
If your College or Training Provider does not allow you to claim the cost of transport, expenses are paid. See the BACH expenses form for details, on the website under Resources
The meeting aims are to review the period since the last NEC and plan for the following year. This covers Finance, Membership & Recruitment, National Events and running of the Regions. Each Region has opportunities to raise the concerns of its Members.
