Meet the Team

Key decisions about the future of and strategic direction of BACH are made by its National Executive Committee (NEC), a group of Construction Heads from across the UK as well as the President.

This team as an unrivalled experience in teaching Construction in Further Education college.  This experience is available first hand to new Construction Heads through the free mentoring service and via its forum and Regional and National events.  Through its campaigning on behalf of its members and the sector, it also works for outstanding outcomes for the thousands of students learning construction related skills at Further Education Colleges.

Meet the Team

How BACH is managed by its Members

Annual General Meeting - AGM

BACH is run by its Members.  They elect the National Officers and President.  They vote to approve the accounts, change the constitution and other major decisions.

The BACH AGM takes place at the National Annual Conference.  You can attend the AGM without being a conference delegate.

New for 2021.  Due to COVID restriction BACH used secure online voting for the AGM.  The constitution was amended to allow for this, and future AGM's will have online voting until the Membership votes otherwise.  This change will allow all Members to vote wherever they are in the UK.

National Executive Committee

Key decisions about the future and strategic direction of BACH are made by its National Executive Committee (NEC).  It is made up of the elected National Officers and Regional Chairs.

This team has unrivalled experience in teaching Construction in Further Education colleges.

It leads BACH's campaigning on behalf of its members.  You can help set the agenda by attending your Regional Meetings.  Through its connections with national and regional organisations, it have provided outstanding presenters at BACH's national events.  Over many years the NEC has influenced the direction and made the feeling of members heard, and we believe this has led to increasing the outstanding outcomes for learners of construction-related skills at Further Education Colleges and more recently at other Training Providers.

This experience is available first hand to all Construction Heads via the BACH App, Website forum, by email to businessmanager@bach.ac.uk and at all Regional and National events.

Regional Groups

BACH Regional Events blend members sharing their experience and knowledge with presentations from leading industry organisations, awarding bodies, local employers and government.

Regions are run by a locally elected team.  Usually a Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary. Although, some Regional will appoint Events and Recruitment Officers.

If you would like to assist in running your Region please speak to your Regional Chair or BACH's Business Manager ian.s@bach.ac.uk

These meetings are open to all members, you select which region or regions you belong to.

If you are thinking of joining BACH and have not attended a meeting in the last two years, you are welcome to attend one meeting as our guest.
