The East of England CTEC is hosting a CPD event free of charge to BACH member
Event Overview
The event will begin with a CTEC update, followed by several keynote speakers relevant to all attendees. We will then move into subject specialist breakout sessions, as outlined below.

- SSB1 – Bricklaying
- SSB2 – Carpentry and Joinery
- SSB3 – Electrical
- SSB4 – Plumbing

- SSB6 – Construction Multi-Skills (including painting and decorating, plastering, tiling, etc.)

CITB Impact Fund – Timber in Construction Skills

Dear sir / Madam
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to invite you to join a small, focused working group being established as part of a CITB Impact Fund project titled “Timber in Construction Skills.” This project, supported by £430k of CITB funding and commencing in October 2025, aims to address critical skills gaps within the UK timber construction sector. Attached is a small PowerPoint presentation and the following link provides more information:
The project brings together industry and education partners to develop accredited training, pilot innovative delivery approaches, and ultimately support the growth of a competent, future-ready workforce. A key objective is to strengthen alignment between education provision and sector needs, ensuring consistent, high-quality learning pathways for both upskilling and reskilling.
Given your expertise and leadership within construction education, we would greatly value your input as part of this working group.

Importantly, there is no expectation for members to produce formal outputs or undertake additional workload. Your role would simply be to contribute your expertise, helping to shape and validate the direction of the project.

We anticipate light-touch engagement, likely involving occasional meetings (virtual or in-person) and opportunities to provide feedback at key stages.
