“As some of you may know yesterday there were major announcements, related to COVID, by SoS for Education and Ofqual which have a significant impact for Colleges over the coming months.

This means that people who would have attended next week now have immediate and urgent matters in hand. Accordingly we have decided we will need to move back the webinar to around Easter and will try to settle on a revised date as soon as possible.”

I am sure you will understand. We will look at dates at our online National Executive Meeting on Wednesday 27 January.

3:50 pm Achieving Diversity in the Highways Workforce:
This will explain how a major construction company benefits for creating a diverse workforce and how Colleges can support this.
Speaker –Duncan Elliott, MD of Galliford Try Highway

3:55 pm College Perspective: The perspective of the college in terms of ensuring equality of access to learning and the linkage to employment in the construction sector.
